The following is the announcement by Malaysian Pacific Industries Berhad made to KLSE regarding the

DISSOLUTION OF AN INDIRECT SUBSIDIARY

We refer to our announcement dated 2 June 1999 in connection with the Member's Voluntary Liquidation of Signal Technology Sdn Berhad ("STSB"), an indirect subsidiary of the Company.

The Company now writes to inform that the Liquidators of STSB had, on 7 October 2002 convened a Final Meeting to conclude the Member's Voluntary Liquidation of STSB. A Return by Liquidator Relating To Final Meeting was lodged with the Registrar of Companies and with the Official Receiver on 11 October 2002 and on the expiration of 3 months after the said lodgement date, i.e. 11 October 2002, STSB shall be dissolved.
